The “Special Flight” Pitts G-OSZB |
| “SZB” is, not surprisingly, an S2B! Built in 1990, serial number 5200 was first registered in Finland as OH-SKY. She then became part of the UK display circuit, firstly in the capable hands of Will Curtiss, then on to the low-level precision aerobatics of Tony Richards who flew the aircraft in its “One2One” livery. |

In 2002 the aeroplane was acquired by Paul Ambrose. She was re-painted in the classic “factory Pitts” design and re-registered as G-OSZB. Zulu Bravo has been a regular sight thrilling the crowds at air shows, country fairs and private functions throughout Britain, as well as introducing many people to the joys of Pitts flying. |
| Zulu Bravo has six a cylinder Lycoming engine and a 3-blade MT aerobatic propeller that gives the aeroplane a climb rate of 2000ft/min, a vertical penetration of over 1000ft, and a cruise of over 180mph. Certified to +6/-3g and rolling at over 270deg/sec the Pitts S-2B is capable of advanced level aerobatic manoeuvres whilst exhibiting predictable handling characteristics. |
